    Good morning from a very cold Worcester in the Western Cape of South Africa. We are currently in mid winter and it is freezing outside at the moment. The mountains surrounding our towns are white with snow and it has been raining non-stop for a week. We are not complaining about the rain or the cold (in Africa you don’t complain about water), but right now, I am grateful to be sitting under my blankets while writing this post.     ose’s Yarn Garden is owned and run by Rose Saunders, a 25 year old, up and coming hand dyer. She moved from Johannesburg to the Western Cape a year ago, where she started her own hand dyeing company. She currently  hand dyes cotton yarn suitable for knitting, crochet and other cotton related crafts. Rose specializes in vibrant, modern colors that speaks to the younger generation as well as the older adventurous crafters. She does all her dyeing by herself and from scratch.   • Changes and Things that stay the same.

    At last I am putting up a blog post again. I think my last one was about two months ago. Needless to say it has been a hectic couple of weeks. Anyone who follows me on Instagram or Facebook, will have noticed that I have started working full time. The most common question I have received from my yarny friends has been ” I hope you don’t stop dyeing” and my answer is “no, I won’t, but there will there are some changes” So here are the changes: I won’t be doing markets for the long run.
